Rubber backing machinery at Tay Carpet Works
Slide, colour, part of a collection of slides, contained in a maroon and brown 'Photax' slide case. This shows a rubber backing machine being constructed. This machine was used in the manufacture of jute carpeting and was located in Tay Carpet Works on Lochee Road in Dundee until the early 1970s. To the right of the image dyeing machinery can be seen.
