Testimonial presented in a box of drawing instruments
Drawing Instruments, stored in a wooden presentation box with brass plaque reading, "To Mr James Harper, From the mechanics of Dudhope Works, Dundee August 1879". The box is lined with purple silk and has a lift out tray of drawing instruments some with possibly ivory fittings. In the compartment underneath the tray are futher drawing equipment - set squares, protractors, parallel rule and ruler. The Testimonial is dated 21st August 1879 and headed with "4 Exchange Place, Dundee" and signed "Wm Fergusson & Sons". A glowing reference for James Harper.
