Wall hanging Sampler
Small wall hanging sampler with brown embroidery details and wooden beads at the bottom.
Made by Frances Rankin who was mother to DHT Chief Exec at the time, Alan Rankin. Scottish Samplers was Frances Rankin business.
Frances Rankin was also an amateur painter and she had an exhibition of her work in the upstairs gallery at VW. She made the sampler for donor as gift for all of then curators help with the show. Date is most likely to have been late 1990s
